Here's the scoop...
The new board software has an option to check the size of avatars before it allows them to be saved in the profiles. Sometimes the server being
checked doesn't respond in the small amount of time the board takes to check. In this case, it assumes there is no image, and leaves the field blank.
I overrode that to put save that URL to your profile... but the next time you go to save your profile, it'll likely do the same thing.
Because of trouble with people loading large avatars, I wish to leave that option enabled. However, if anyone has a problem with that, please contact
me privately (U2U or email), and I'll provide you FTP access to this directory to upload your avatar:

nope, i tried a small one (2k)and it wont save it when i edit it.
looking around the board very few are working.
this was an upgrade ?

I responded to your U2U.
And yes, the ability to limit resolution size (not file size, mind you) of an image for avatars would be an upgrade, even with hiccups along the way.
Both issues right now are with Pixpond... so, there's something consistent with their delayed response time for this board software.
