Malarrimo beach road

Anyone know if the road through the old Castro ranch and down through the big wash is passable or is there another way into Malarrimo?
Thinking of a short trip in there next month.
The lastt time I was there in March of 20 was right after a really big rain and we came into Malarrimo from Punta Eugenia and out up the wash to Castro's but turned off at the pipline maintenance road and went out that way. Lots of hunting and peck to stay on the road.

When I was doing the Road Guide research, I was driving east from Bahía Tortugas towards Vizcaino (I had gone to B. Tortugas from B. Asunción on the more direct dirt road via San José de Castro.

Highway at S.J. de Castro road was at Km. 117.5* (ranch is 1 mile south of highway).

Road north to Malarrimo Beach was at Km. 117*. (I drove north on it one mile... into the hills and out the other side. The road nearly vanished at that point. I elected to not drive the additional 25 miles to the beach, as it was getting late in the afternoon.)

*These kilometer figures were calculated, measuring from the Km. 120 marker. There were no kilometer markers between Km. 97 and Km. 120 in 2017.

Km. 83 Pipeline Service Road going northwest towards Malarrimo Beach... A more direct route if coming from Vizcaino. However, it is more dirt miles. I would say "do not drive out there without a companion vehicle."

Here is the original Malarrimo road at Km. 117, as seen from the highway:

Here is that road a half mile + in:

Here is the Pipeline Service Road at Km. 83, from the highway:

Thanks David, I'm familiar with both of those roads. I had heard that the road into Playa Malarrimo at km 117 was washed out back in 2020 and was wondering if it is passable now. It is a beautiful drive down into there, that wash very scenic.
