Today's Spanish word of the day from Transparent Language is capicúa, which is translated as a "reversible or palindromic number." According to WordReference.com, it can be translated as "palindrome" or "palindromic number." On the other hand, I've always seen palíndromo used as the direct translation for "palindrome," so I'd much rather believe that Spanish is clever enough to have a word to describe the phenomenon of a palindrome specifically when it applies to a number.

Selección sorprendente para estudiantes, ya que nunca la había oído (lo que indica que no se encuentra en el léxico común de la mayoría de mexicanos). Pero si se utiliza en dominó, quizá sí. Voy a preguntar entre la palomilla.

Lo que indica la RAE es que en su sentido estricto, solo se aplica a números, así que no creo que haya un equivalente en inglés.
Gracias por el término. :light:

De nada. Me gusta cuando aprender es entretenido. :tumble:
