Major differences are the construction. You could ride one of these down Mt McKinley. Very well built. And unfortunately no longer being made.

They used to be the standard for DirecTV. Had RCA and DirecTV printed on the face.

They have a single feedarm without two side support arms that hold the LNB.

And, with the exception of the funny looking LNB's, here is what one of these dishes looks like.

Dimensions side to side is 1.1 meters, length a little longer.

OK. Those 1.1s are a little wimpy for DN here, and I may have a couple of change outs in the near future.

Are you getting those 1.8s from Guillermo Cuevas? I have yet to place an order. U2U if preferred :)

wayne, i have one but i need it installed at my place at serenidad.
can you give me an approximate cost to do that? i have the dish and LNB. it needs a mast and to be mounted. i can bring the RG 6 and my receiver with an active card.
