I used to get singled out all the time at both borders when I used my passport for ID.
Finally, a border guard clued me in. My passport has stamps from about 4 or 5 mid-east countries! He recommended that I keep the passport in my pocket
and just show them my Retired Military ID. So far it's working, I haven't been pulled aside since.
And by the time I have to show a passport, I'll have a new one.

What countries you are talking about?
Mine is basically full with egyptian stamps and visas, plus other near/middle/far east stamps. That hadn't attracted anyone so far, on my ways IN/OUT
of US or Mexico.

Mine has Saudi Arabia, Yeman, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, and Kuwait, to name a few It also has India, Pakistan, Sri Lanki, Russia and Singapore but I
don't think that's what does it. I'm not sure which one seems to trigger the response; or maybe it's just my looks. But I do know that the U.S and
Canadians would sometimes pull me aside for further questions until I started using my military ID.

HM, don't know, maybe being a female, wouldn't make it sooo interesting for them??
Or maybe my looks (petit blonde) is UN-SUSPICIOUS
But your variety of stamps does make it VERY suspicious. I guess.

I wish I had that varity of stamps on my passport.....looks like full time rv'ing is a very good thing. I am envious to say the least and would put
up with strip and search just for the trips......life is good....but would be very upset if they searched my young neice.....good for mom making sure
she stayed close...

Actually, almost all of my stamps came from my work with the Navy's of those countries before I retired.
I worked for an international Naval Architect/Marine Engineering firm. And I think they hired me because of my familiarity with those countries from
my military career.
In a lot of those countries, a petit blonde gets a LOT of attention!

Yeah, I saw the roadsign, but that's about all I know. And I'm no longer in West Yellowstone (I'll have to check that link, I thought I'd changed it),
way to cold up there this time of year. I'm currently in Phoenix. Todays Weather; 84 and clear.
