A week in La Paz
Well we just got back last night from a great week in La Paz. I want to thank everyone on this board. It was the first time we have had an
opportunity to spend any real time in La Paz and the advice and insight each of you offer was invaluable. I would especially like to thank Comitan
and his gracious wife for their hospitality. Thank you so much for welcoming us into your home. Dinner was delicious, my wife is still raving about
it.
Jesse, what can I say. Your new Tres Virgenes restaurant was the highlight of our trip! You are by far the very best deal in La Paz. It was quite
comical actually. While my wife and I pondered over your menu and watched the plates that were presented to the other diners, my wife was convinced
your menu was in USD and not Pesos. Comparing the exorbitant prices of the other restaurants to the basic meals we received I must admit I had my own
concerns as well and very discreetly checked the contents of my wallet to make sure I wasn’t going to be washing dishes. We still cannot believe we
enjoyed one of the finest dinners we have had anywhere in a long time. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and your prices are the most reasonable we
found. You definitely have a winning combination; an ingeniously creative menu, wonderful atmosphere, impeccable service and the most reasonable
prices. I don’t know how you are doing it but don’t stop. You have given me a new goal in life, to eventually sample everything on your menu!

I agree, since comitan and Carol's visit here, we cook everything with garlic and that great four monks wine.
They are wonderful.

After almost a year of very hard work and lots of stress, Aldo Salato and I have finally opened our new restaurante in La Paz. What started as a
friendship betwen Aldo and me here on this very same board, over time ended in the opening of our restaurant. I want to thank all the nomads that gave
me lots of advice, and who took the time to give me their input on many things ranging from the name to the smallest detail. Our restaurant is named
Las Tres Virgenes, and we serve gourmet Mexican food with of course, lots of Baja influence. Some of the things you will find on the menu are Puerto
Nuevo Lobster, Roasted rack of Pork Tacos, Cabrilla Ceviche, and Vanilla flan with California Chile caramel. As well as some more gourmet creations
for those with demanding palates.
I would like to invite all nomads that live in the vecinity or are visiting us on their way to or from the North or South to stop by. A Glass of wine
is on the house for any bajanomad.com member.

We had dinner with Bruce Berger and Miquel Angel de la Cueva and it was marvelous. The baby octopus was killer. They sure look funny though when you
grill them. We also had the scallop and shrimp in a shell...yummy. The spinach salad was fresh and delicious. The three men had the yellowtail and
I had the enchiladas in cilantro sauce. Jim and I split a flan that was wonderful.
Definitely the best buy in Baja. And by far one of the best meals too.
Be sure to make ressies if you are going anytime after 7pm.

Thanks everybody, i don't want to hijack this thread that Alan started, i just want to say i am glad that more and more people are coming to visit La
Paz. This city is truly unique and special and on the verge of turning into one of the best cities to live in all of Mexico. Its always a pleasure to
serve good people.
Gracias for the encouraging words, this only makes us keep working hard and improving our standars.

Jesse, re your hours: Also, are you open every day? I think I recall you're closed on Lunes but not sure?
Are reservations required/recommended before/after 7pm?
Will your operating hours change during Carnaval?
Eagerly awaiting our first visit!
