Sharks the porcupinefish can take off your finger. It has happened on more than one occasion. The famous Japanese "fugu" or puffer fish is a different species, brownish gray without spines. ++Ken++

Yea I know. They have the same type of jaws of a ray but only harder(bones instead of cartlage) They can crush hard shelled creatures with ease. I've had many hooks mashed and bent by these little buggers.
Are those smooth pufferfish in the Cortes akin to Fugu Ken?
I mean fugu, Ken. :lol:

That's funny. I have been occasionally called Fugu Ken (and rarely a Horny Bonehead), but those are not scientific id's :). Yes, the smooth pufferfish in the Sea of Cortez is the infamous fugu.
