Que Pasa en Loreto
Hola All....just got back from a month in Loreto. I have not seen it this cold in thirty years down there. Nights and early mornings were cold but
the sun would bring warmer temps during the day. Fonature seems to have taken over a bunch of the Ejido land just south of the Colonia Zaragoza.
They are selling lots---can't help but wonder what the future will hold for those that buy this land. I moved from the colonia into town so I worked
the whole time and didn't even get a chance to fish one day. Going back to Loreto for the month of March to finish up the new place. Still no money
from La Paz sent to Loreto and they are getting by as best as they can. Saw Capt. George briefly one day. He is moving to the Pacific side. I am
sorry to see him go, but he does not like Loreto. He said it was fished out. I can't agree with that, but it is a free world and he can go wherever
he want to. I will miss him as he is quite a character. I just don't think Loreto was ready for a New York City boy. I saw video pictured of Marty
when it hit and the damage to the town afterwards. The Mexicans are amazing as they had it all cleaned up and repaired in about a month. We are
expecting the best Dorado run in years this year, but, we will have to wait and see. The Mex. Gov't is thinking about making the dorado a commercial
fish and that could have a very bad effect on fishing. There is alot of work being done in Puerto Escondido on the Escalara Marina---including the
installation of a gassing facility for boats. Fox seems to be hell bent on having the Escalera Marina system. Incidentally, in case you haven't
heard, La Senora Fox is going to run for President when hubby's term is up.

Sharky! thanks for your good report Capt.
I was concerned about George and Loreto. he gets in a real big Hurry but is sure a good guy. I think he would like it to have been when we were there
30 years ago!
Sure you don't want to buy one of those 5,000 houses they are going to build?
Where did you move in town?. I am planning on a trip down, looks like March would like to visit with you.Just sold the last piece of property I had out
North so need to sign the papers and get the
money.
Sharky do you have any information on the Health Care in Loreto? Let me know. Skeet/Loreto

Health Care in Loreto
Skeeter: Things have not changed since you were there. Health Care? Yes, a
quick trip to Constitution. The Bomberos do have a heart starting machine but all else remains the same. Most people leave town to get their care.

Hey Grandma Sal
Should be there at the end of this month. Had a test on the new valve yesterday. Looks like it is going to have to be done over as some of the
stiitches holding the valve in came loose and I am getting alot of backflush of blood. However, I do plan on being in Loreto March, May and
June---just might not be able to lift much. Saw Ty and he was beaming with joy. Told him you said he made a gread dad. As for wind in Loreto, it is
always windy this time of year. Sharky

Msal aka Sallysouth -- missed you again had to head home :-( the 6th after two months on Juncalito :-) Capt. Shark got it right, this year it was
right bloody cool in the evenings, nights and mornings. And since the shade hit us at 4:45 or so it made for many goose bumps! PS don't know about
all the "dungue fever" and stuff 'scare' but I was bitten (one evening [ a major learning experience] 87 bites on right foot, 49 bites on left foot)
{sand fleas or no see'ms} and a running total of 134 mosquitos. But only complaint is they syphoned off some of my continual "anti-freeze" level.
This probably isn't any where near the right spelling but 'me dio' but I miss MEXICO'S BAJA. :-<
