OH David K where are you?

Has been almost a week from the last DK sighting, last whereabouts were El Rosario Festival, were he was seen, enjoying him self having great food also acting as a tour guide to las Pintas.Activity that is illegal in Mexico because he doesn't have a touring guide license.Afther that I hasn't been seen or heard of, who knows where Mex 1 took this guy next. If seen be carefull he suffers from a very inffectious virus well know to Baja travelers,(BAJAWANTTOGOBACKTHENEXTDAYTIVIS).If you see him you can offer him a cold PACIFICO,but we beware don 't get to closed or you will be at risk of been inffected your self, cause all this guys talks is Baja . He was seen driving a 2006 0r 2007 Toyo Tacoma(silver in color)Also he has aboard a hostage,Elizabeth AKA BAJAANGEL..

Just having fun with you Dk,hurry back so we can enjoy your trip reports...

David called earlier to say he and Elizabeth had arrived home safely very, very early this morning. They had driven straight through from Playa Requeson, with stops for food, gas, etc.

He spoke of eating at a location at the end of the river - at the Sea of Cortez - in Mulege (I believe) with a glow in his voice from the experience.

I await his further report, with pictures, when it's convenient for him to do so.

Hi Guys...

We got home at 3:30 am this morning... left Bahia Concepcion at 8:45 am Saturday... stopped at Mulege mission and Guerrero Negro old warf site along the way (as well as food and fuel stops)...

Doug, the place in Mulege at the end of the north side river road on the gulf beach was EL PATRON ... AAA+ awesome.

Hey, I will post a trip report soon... 444 photos taken... will have to show you only the best ones, but which???

El Rosario, Las Pintas, 7 Sisters coastline, Bahia Asuncion, Punta Abreojos, San Ignacio, Santa Rosalia, Mulege, El Requeson, Guerrero Negro, etc.

Border wait was 30 minutes at San Ysidro at 2 am Sunday (this) morning.

Anyway... I have a lot to read from all you guys posts this last week+

Shari was a great host and treated us like royalty in Asuncion... MANY THANKS!

Ran into Paulina ('P') and Dern in Asuncion too! Small world of Baja friends!

Okay BajaCat and you other guys... thanks for asking... We are back home safe and sound... Tacoma (2005) was flawless on the trip and no flats either.

Until later... adios!

Calling J. R.

DK
Remember the mantra of good old JR???

"David, you have never been past BOLA, so what is your agenda???"

Too bad he is gone (in more ways than one)
Would love to have massaged your itinerary into his psyche, just a bit.

Sounds like a great trip, cannot wait to hear the details, and all your good fotos as well.

Please Dick... it was a great trip, don't bring up jr (who was a friend in person, but really had a need for the negative attention posts on Nomad).

Just FYI, I have been 'past BOLA' (by road) more times than I can recount now, but the first time was in 1966 (to Cabo S.L.)! 1973, 1974, 1976, 1982, 1985, 2001 were some other times...

his loss believe me. What Bob and Susan are accomplishing at their beach development is without peer given the logistics. really nothing else around like it in scope or design.

i can't wait (but it will be in oct likely) to return and see what they've done.

It's funny how we get down here...I feel insulted when someone doesn't stop in and say hi when they are in town too...but when I think about it, I very rarely stop and visit others when in their towns too s we are usually in a rush to get somewhere and have limited time between Juan's fishing jobs...so I understand now when folks don't...David and Angel were on a limited time holiday and didn't have time to see everyone....I was honored to entertain them for a couple days but they were in a rush. I would love to see what Bob and Susan are up too though and will try to get there when things cool down.

Dear Bob and Susan... (and others that Elizabeth and I drove past), thanks for the message, but like Shari said, we were trying tio see as much Baja as possible in one week and go to places that I have never been (7 Sisters, Vizcaino Peninsula) and Elizabeth (Baja Angel) has not been south of L.A. Bay before last week!

We hoped to meet jdtrotter in Asuncion, as well... But, after spending so much time at San Roque we needed to get back to Shari's for some fresh yellowtail sashimi and fish tacos... which revived us!

Bob and Susan... on Friday afternoon we took a drive up Concepcion Bay to look at the other camps and did drive into Narranjas to see where Mexray has a place ... and saw your lighthouse and that new housing development, marina, etc. It was late and we needed to get back to our palapa on Requeson before dark... See you guys NEXT TIME, OKAY?

There's just so much Baja... and so little time!
