wow! we've only gone there in the very off season (winter) --we stopped in for lunch a couple times (the food was lousy at best) and there was NO ONE
around any time we were there. The summer is a different story... but I'm guessing next week we'd have our pick of rooms (but, heck we live here!).
Going there next week for lunch with the ladies...we'll park a review here! (on a new topic under the restaurant reviews!)

DENNIS, the gift shop is no longer! All closed and the museum, as it were, is all ripped up also.Bajabound, try the mexican combo for lunch.I am a
pretty picky eater and the chile relleno that comes with the combo was one of the BEST I have ever had! Lots of chile and cheese and not too much
fluff.

It's [obviously] been a while since I was there. I have to get out more often.
Thanks for the update, Sally.

Regarding the skunk, here's what we know about it. You may have heard the story, but here's our version...
He got it out, but then it got scared by a cat and ran back inside. Another time he was able to get it out, it wouldn't stop crawling up the front of
his screen door.
The last Dern heard from Jeff, the skunk was in his kitchen cabinets rearranging the dishes. Jeff went online and found receipes for getting skunks
out of the house. One was mothballs, but he didn't have any and we were all out of them over at our house, and another was a habanero (sp?) chili
spray mixture that he was going to cook up.
The skunk hasn't sprayed anything yet, it's cruising the house, not scared of anything, so I think he should just get it a cat box. We've all had mice
in and out of the house over the years, but skunk poop in the cupboards is a little too much.
He told the Pabloff's about his delema and they laughed and just said, Welcome Back! Tom at the gate is calling it "Casa Zorillo".

That is exactly what Dern said to him.
The next time he's able to get it outside maybe he should shoot it with his slingshot? Jeff has great aim.
One thing we did here at the states when we had a family of skunks living under our house was to put flea bombs all around the perimeter, setting them
all off during the day while we knew they were there sleeping. They left and didn't come back.
Maybe Jeffy le Pew should get on here and start a new skunks in baja thead.

How did this thread get to the subject of Skunks?(and how to get rid of them) I know I am guilty of invading a few threads but this one should have
been a newly created thread.Oh well, seems all is well and soulpatch just let it be .Maybe he got the info he was looking for. For what is worth,
soulpatch, Alfonso is a great guy and very helpful if you explain what your concerns/problems are.

Tried that the last TWO times - albiet - it's been a couple years since we've been there. At the time, I thought it was worst of Mexican food I'd
ever had...I was thinking of going for something fishy. And, not to boast (but we DID win the chli cook-off) I think I do, IN FACT, make the best
chili rellenos...and if there is ever a chili relleno cook-off; I'm there.
As for the skunks - that's just all neighbors talking amonst themselves on the board!

Yep. It was me. Sorry, Sally, et al. Like I said way earlier, threads morph. Some need it, some arn't ready but, it's just a matter of time
till relavant comment is exhausted and the participants arn't. Usually, threads with thin substance quickly give way to offspring, not that this
was one of them. But, when the last word has been said, the last word has been said. It's good that they live on through progeny. A legacy, of
sorts.

Aw, who really cares.Dennis you made a very good point. And BB2007, when can I/we partake in your delicacy? I found(now that this thread has "gone
south") a recipe that requires beer in the batter.Whacha think? It also has cumin and a few other ingredients.Ok, still, those were REALLY good
rellenos at Estero.I was told to try them by the local Gringos that live there. If you go, ya gotta let me/us know how they measure up to yours. And
yeah I know you won the cook-off and felicidades for that!So are you gonna open up some kinda eatery or just tease us???!!Sally
