TJ/SY border monday morning

8:30am and an ez 17 minute wait this morning due to Independance Day. Got lots of shopping done in SD for new home furnishing, filling my '89 Jeep Cherokee "Classic".

New wrinkle at border coming south tonight at 6PM. Got green light, but was waved over into a row of cones on left side. Advice says stay left when crossing for fewer red lights.

When did they start the left lane spot check detainment area???

The left lane deal has been there for awhile. It is not always open. You got waved over because the guy who sits at the border on the raised platform so he can see into pickups and such told them on the two way that you had a load of stuff in your Jeep.
