Viva La Baja! Relocation Guide available for purchase

For those who asked for it sooner, I apologize for the delay.
Couldn't have asked for a better subject to write about - has been fun. :saint:

Over 100 pages of detailed info (with links to additional sources) on -- visas, current drug laws, NOM-O29, saving the estuaries, buying a home, renting a house, depositing Social Secuity funds into a Mexican bank account, emergency evacuation policies, health concerns -- tons of good info.

Now the fun part - keeping it up to date so will remain the best resource guide to living in the Baja California Peninsula.

If I'm gonna pay for information I'd like to know more about how it was gathered. Was it second-hand or from personal experience?

Hi - sorry for late reply was off-line, here is a bit of history and response to thoughts above...

I traveled here years ago, pregnant with son (at one time), and a few trips prior by bus and car in my twenties. After a year on the mainland in 2004, and a few trips to La Paz, my son and I moved to Baja and ended-up in Mulege - a great town. Lived in Mulege for about a year and a half, went to Rosarito Beach for a month taking care of personal business, mainland for summer to beat the heat (2007) then back to Baja, to La Paz so could travel to Cabos and other towns for book research and photos. Living in Baja Sur now.

Most of what is written is from first-hand knowledge, with research and additional information added to make it informative and high-quality. Others experiences added as well as I think no one really has the depth of personal experience to write a 100 page book for relocatees to the Peninsula, but you could give it a try - would most likely be boring to an outsider, and without additional research, incomplete. :)

Appreciate the feedback on the website - yet is not in any way 'propaganda' - I researched marketing for an eBook thoroughly and a simple site was found to be more effective. But that is good input, maybe should add a page with the table of contents, so a potential reader can get a better idea of what they would getting, though I can assure you no one would be disappointed. :bounce:

With all due respect, if I were in the market for a book like that, the website sure would not tip me into buying mode.

You've just presented the cover propaganda. I generally buy books by leafing through to briefly check out the meat, or sometimes by reading reviews. I have no idea what class of product you're offering; the site needs some sample content.

I agree...and, I don't think including a table of contents is enough, although it would be helpful. I'd like to read a sample chapter. Then I could decide if it appeared that the book had a sufficient depth of knowledge that made it worth spending $20.

I added table of contents, and am going to add some sample text... maybe a chapter is a good idea, or thinking a part of a few chapters, so covers more of the variety of subjects discussed.

Thanks for input - I had 'thought' of that... but kept reading that if you put too much info on website, people don't buy. But that advice may pertain more to those who offer a bunch of freebies and other things, that detract from their purpose of selling the eBook.

The pricing came from other books - is what this type of resource is selling for, and I have no qualms about it as know it is much more valuable than that to someone new to Baja and needing info!

Appreciate the feedback, :) :) BajaBad
