Finally in paradise (trip report)

Spent Sunday in San Diego packing the Tacoma even fuller with an assortment of excercise equipment to bring on down to TS. Spent a fabulous evening with some incredible Bajanomads (thanks Barb and Matt... you're the best!!!)
Went thru customs around 1pm. We were the only car parked in the right parking lot.
Got my FM3 stamped and Kirsten got her FMT and then we drove right by the "red light/green light" without stopping!
Got waved thru all military road stops. Made it to El Rosario before the sun set. Great stay at Baja Cactus. The girls at the front desk gave me my "palabra del dia" which was
"abre latas" por cervecas!!!
The next morning we walked the dogs thru town and had our hearts warmed with all the smiles, car horn beeps and freindly waves!!! Got coffee at Baja's Best and had a visit with Clint who sent us on our way with hellos to pass on for people all the way down the Peninsula!!!! Very friendly place with good coffee to go! (breakfasts looked great)
Very little traffic so we made great time. Stopped to have a couple burritos at Carmelitas and gave the dogs a quick run. Once again, no stops for inspections. The check stop at Guerro Negro was closed. We arrived in San Ignacio around 5pm with the time change. (Left El Rosario around 10:30)
And now we are relaxing in paradise! (Ignacio Springs B&B) Last night Terry served a great dinner that included scallops, pasta, roasted pepper salad, cucumber salad, and swiss chard. For dessert there was carrot cake and date pie. (the date palms are spectacular. They are laden with fruit) This morning it was coffee in bed (thanks to the daughter) and then the famous "Canadian" breakfast. Terry's bread and homemade preserves are the best. One more night here and then on our way again.
Todos Santos here we come!!!

maybe!

The Tacoma has been problem free so far David. Gotta say... those hills sure seem
