Trip report Mike's Sky Rancho-Melings

I just returned from a great, short trip. Drove to Valle de Trinidad to visit friends, then over the hills. The road from Hwy 3 to Mike's Sky Rancho was good. I concluded I could do it in a sedan and there was a Chrysler 300 at Mike's. They said it took them 1.5 hours, the last half hour in the dark. The road from Mike's to the Observatory road near Meling Ranch was easily passable in my pickup. It took about 2 hours. I don't think I'd try it in a low clearance car. The road from Melings to Hwy 1 was like last March, easily done in a sedan. No checkpoints except south of Ensenada, waved through. The border took 3.5 minutes at San Ysidro.

Things change quickly in Baja. Then again, I though you were in a Geo Metro. LOL:lol:
