(WWW.) VIVABAJA.COM

After four years of waiting, my first choice for a web site domain name became available. Nobody was using the URL vivabaja.com, but someone had it... until recently, that is. A super big thank you to Doug for grabbing it when he saw it was available.

I was asked why I didn't have it, after all I have the Viva Baja parties, the Viva Baja bumper sticker, the only thing missing was the web site URL being VivaBaja.com.

I picked DavidKsBaja.com (David K's Baja) because my site's theme was simular to Tim's Baja site ( http://timsbaja.com )... and I went by David K on the message boards... It made sense at the time.

Why change? Well, the main reason is because it is not about me, it's about Baja.

Unless you visit my web site, you might think it is just a home page for my trip photos. It is far more, it's a resource for Baja explorers... specially historic sites.
With my dozens of links, it is useful as a travelers resource too.
Another reason: when telling a non-Internet person my URL... I have to explain and spell the David-K-s part. Just saying VivaBaja.com is easy and can be remembered.

So, for now you can type in http://vivabaja.com (www is optional) and that will bring you to davidksbaja.com. In the future, 'VivaBaja' will replace 'DavidKsBaja' as the web page title.

To celebrate, free Viva Baja stickers for each Nomad who wants one... send your snail mail address to the email in my web site if you would like one (while supplies last).

Congratulations David K - don't know the history behind the move, but read a lot of your postings on Amigos and Nomads. I will look forward to "catching up" on your new (old) site.

Thanks for the good wishes! No move, really... just a new URL that has the name of my (and your) feelings for the peninsula: Viva Baja!

For quite some time, both davidksbaja.com and vivabaja.com will take you to my web site. No need to change your favorites settings.

Yes, ViaBaja.com is a great web site (Laguna Percebu, Shell {Island} Beach, and Bahia Santa Maria photos past and present (even some 1960 photos of Puertecitos)... We met Chris (the host) on Shell Island last month... His photo talking with Mike Humfreville is in the Matomi 2004 web page. Look:
