WEATHER CHANGE

It is RAINING off Rancho la Aguja, west of La Paz on the Pacific! So? Well we only get 4" a year, and usually when it rains here the rest of Baja Sur is already floating.

The great weather forecaster in Baja Insider (whose record has been a tad spotty lately) predicts possible rain Saturday night/Sunday as a cold front from California hits us.

Rob,
I don't know about this reference to California, because the satellites show the moisture coming from the equatorial south.
The Insider's weather is usually fairly accurate.

Baja Insider says the rain will be caused by the Cal cold front hitting tropical humidity down here . . .

Insiders weather is very good (that's why I called him/her "great"), but he/she did totally miss the big rains that hit Baja Sur ten days ago, that's why I said " a tad spotty".

But I am loyal fan.

Rain started 20 minutes ago here in Loreto. Looks like we're in for a long drizzle.

Mood: Anxious to get south

[*] posted on 12-9-2007 at 08:57 PM

Just pulled in from our home below San Felipe, raining big time coming across the Laguna Salada 60 miles north of San Felipe.

The rain continued all the way to the border. After crossing into the U.S. and all the way home to San Diego, it was clear as a bell.

Looked pretty dark in our area, anyone know if it rained in the South Campos this afternoon?

Haven't had a bad trip yet....

Lotsa thunder and lightening last night. Mochi, scared to death, was allowed to sleep inside. A couple of good down pours. Power went out.
Power back on about 11am. Mostly blue skies. Kinda steamy but not too bad.
Jeez it just got very dark. better go investigate.
