Not in Baja now, watching old movie
Watching one of my all time favorites---Casablanca
Seems appropriate being the day after Dec. 7

Yeah but "Treasure of The Sierra Madre" was on eairler on TCM!!
But time has gone by and Casablanca is great!!

It is one of my all-time favorites also.
My wife Pam and I celebrated our 30th anniversary with a cruise in the Western Mediterranean last month. One of the first stops was
in......Casablanca. There was a lecturer on board who gave a fascinating talk on the historical WWII aspects of the movie, and then the entire movie
was shown in the ship's theatre. It was a sensory overload to see and hear all that the day before we were actually there.

I watched a couple weeks ago--you can't do much better. But my kids don't like it--it's in black and white.

How old are your kids? My high school students in Calexico swore they would NEVER like a black and white film---that was untill I showed them

My world stops for Casa Blanca. Good thing they always show it late at night.
Another favorite is “His Kind Of Woman”. Also black and white, it makes many references to some out of the way resort near the Sea of Cortez.
I can almost envision Russell and Mitchum exchanging quips at the bar of the old Club Aero Mulege...
Sorry, I just finished “One Hell Of A Ride” the other night, and my imagination is on over-drive.

Not bored at all, Ken. It was excellent!
I loved that slide show of Morocco. The music really enhances it. I hope others see it as it is buried in this 15 page thread.
Sorry to disagree with you guys about Casablanca. That film does nothing for me. I know that's sacrilege for some. The "African Queen" was a better
romance in my opinion.

Not-so Old Movie
Last night, I finally watched a movie (1969) that I had burned off of TCM.
"Age of Consent" starring James Mason and a "Young" (and firm) Helen Mirren. The story of a middle-aged artist trying to resurrect his flagging
talents by travelling to a semi-remote Great Barrier Island and making use of the nubile Mirren as a model. It is notable for the many opportunities
they utilize to display her completely nude body.
Not bad (Mirren, that is). A little wide in the beam, but not overly so.

One of my favorite scenes the great movie, African Queen, was when Rose finally stepped into that leech infested water to help push the boat.
