I'm still here

Hi Keri
The bad news is I can't make it to the book signing this year:(. The good news is I'll be on the Sonora Wind Boat in Kino for the whole, entire, total, complete month of May

I will be at the book signing in May of 2005, and I'll cook.:biggrin:

In the mean time if anybody wants to drop into Kino Bay in May, call Sonora Wind Base on Channel 11 when you hit town. There will be COLD BEER WAITIN.
Also big pig roast hosted by the Sonora Wind Crew on the 22nd of Mayo. All Nomads / Amigos are welcome

Keri, what's up with the potluck? Do you have many signers up yet?
Is the potluck for Saturday night dinner?
Do we need to bring plates, silverware or not?

The potluck is on. Lots of takers, I bought forks and knives and napkins. Also I bought a giant cake and I bought the cake plates for that and forks.. If someone else would like to donate a giant package of those styrofoan plates for the potluck that would be great. Let me know otherwise I'll have to get them in the states when I go in. Georock you are bringing the glasses for the Tequila tasting right? I can hardly wait . We had so much fun last year.k:bounce::bounce:

hey....Sonora Wind, kino is great!

we used to run the sams clinic there until 1986 as a joint effort with the Tucson chapter, then we got kicked out of Sonora by the then gov. (long story, not us - him)!

anyway, keep me/us in the loop for your fiesta, it's a short ride in from phx via nogales, i'd like to come. Any amigos interested that would go from metro phx and split gas e me. 2 seats available. lots of places to spend sat noche.....i like the Posada cause of the pool, but the place has changed since we last spent the night, Sonora Wind could come up with some suggestions?

gracias.

Capt Mike

Come on down. There will be at least a 100 people at the pig roast Sat night, so the more the much. If you could bring your own bed rolls, your welcome to stay with us at Casa de Sonora Wind. Are you flying or driving? How long can you Stay? Ah hell, it don't matter, just get your butt down.
Sorry no pool but the house is on the beach with fantastic views. Hope to see ya on the 22nd. If your flying we'll pick you up at the air strip. Let me know an approx time of arrival, and we'll talk on Ch 11 VHF. I'll be in Kino all day cooking the pig. Note: I love to cook with wine, and sometimes I even put some in the food.

Sonora wind, watch this space

or i might start another thread or we can do PM's. but stay in touch. are you in new kino or old kino? we would fly. come in on a sat morn and leave sun a.m., just a quick in and out if you know what i mean!

i don't have a VHF hand held, only a base station in mulege. ask around mand some of your friends may have an avband hand held, its 122.8 at kino aeropuerto.

i'd do a long slow beach fly by and circle the town for a ride, works every time.

e mail me directions to your campo.

New Kino

As your coming north on Mar de Cortez you pass a big abandoned building on the right. It's the never opened disco. Then you'll see the Palapa Restaurant on the left, and we're about a block and a half north on the beach side. I'll hang a Sonora Wind sign on the front of the house. It's actully very close to the Poasda. I leave for Kino on the forth and I'll have no internet while I'm there.
We'll have a couple of extra Queen Coleman air beds so just bring sleeping bags and pillows and a tooth brush. We got everything else covered.
Looking forward to seeing ya.

PS: the house is real big, we got tons of room.
