Baja Brewery in San Jose

This new brew pub just opened last week, so we stopped in last night to check it out.
I am not a weird beer drinker but my husband said that the two he tried were pretty good.
He had fish and chips(100mn) and I had Ahi salad(110mn), a very drinkable glass of vino tinto was 50mn...
They are still working out the kinks for sure. My husband got his fish and chips a good 10 minutes before my salad. Were they waiting for the spinach to grow.
The place itself is very well done. Nice bar with big screen. Lotsa dark wood. About 10 tables inside(we sat inside as it was chilly here last night) and about twice as many outside in what used to be a parking lot. They did a heck of a job of using the space available, I think.
Of course you can see the vats. Upon close inspection they appeared to have bounced a few time before they settled into the brewery.
It seems like a real happening place. They have a terrific mozaic of their logo, which is also very nice.
All in all well worth the trip if you are in San Jose. It is next to Baan Thai and across the street from Morgan Encore. And on the corner is the cutest little gift shop El Armadoria(I dont think that is correct but it is close and it is the only shop on the corner...cant miss it!)
