Doc, have you ever met a beer you didn't like?
Or for that matter a wine?
What's in my Frig? Food, Food and more food
for the New Years Eve party.
However went thru my bar getting ready for the party
and was told by the boss not to buy any more VO as I
only had 16 bottles!!
Happy New Year!!!

Morgaine,
Yes, I escaped Cleveland in 1972. My brother re-introduced me to Pabst in approx 1995. It doesn't have the after-burner taste that the other bottom-shelf USA beers(Mil's best, Blatz, Old Style) have.

Will need to restock Nego Modelo, BB05, as that one has been absent for a few months.

Jorgie,
I have heard about the "preservative" difference theory, but, cannot verify.

BigMike, please post a map for your NYE party. That way I can evacuate the dozens of beer tasters currently lounging at my place.

Just yesterday I saw 12 paks of Negra Modelo [ spelled with an A ] at WalMart. The beauty of that is they are throw away bottles. It was before 10 AM so I couldn't buy any for a taste test. When things change, deposit to throw away, you have to wonder if quality changed as well. I'll have to look into this further.

:spingrin:Just take a right from your place, go up the hill, then down the hill, turn right and then past fire dept turn right , then next right, then next right and your there.
However only have Tecate and Pacifico, no Pabst!!
Thought you got rid of all the people the other night, guess a few of them were hiding in your closets and under your bed.

Pacifico

A definate taste difference between the USA import vs the Mexican purchased (sin lime for the test). The Mexican tastes better!!!!

Seems like the vast majority of the major beer brands all taste like beer.

After years of confusion-- is it modelo negra or negro modela, etc-- I finally figured out why it is Negra Modelo! Negra describes the contents of the can, cerveza negra.

Now I can move on to some of the other things that confuse me-- as soon as I remember what they are

I think you can only get it in bottles. Something else that needs thorough investigation.

I refuse to allow known facts to deny me my thorough investigation since the taste test is a big part of it.

Yes, Dennis, Doc has many windows but if he has to have a favorite Mex beer, mine is Negro Modelo. And it's rarely had....

I have also found the Modelo Negro to be far superior to the reg Modelo.
