Why we love this place!
We are getting sewage lines...yippee! No mas fosas.
However in order to get these we have to furnish the water.
The workers rang our bell and asked if they could use our hose for water for the chunka chunka cement machine.
What would they have done if we werent home?

Probably wait till you get home, even if that would be a few months.
What's the rush.
You're in Mexico. Chill!!

Sewage lines are great, but...
...watch out for those Modelo cans!
Our lines were draining really slowly. Finally worked a long piece of pvc with a plastic Coke bottle duct taped to it through the pipe. Out popped 2
empty cans at the other end. Everything is running freely now and life is good.

I think the world is run by C- students.

Or,
How would he have gotten home from the middle of the salt flats without a spare tire if we hadn't come along?
Or
How would they have repaired that gasket on the Circus truck if we hadn't have come by with some silicone?
Obviously local folks survive just fine wihout us, but I do find myself asking sometimes "I wonder what would they have done?"
The only time I don't ask that question anymore is in home construction scenarios. Many times we've arrived to discover that we've brought with us
tools or materials that are vital to a project the guys are working on. Yet construction continued when we weren't around, so how'd they get stuff
done?
No, wait-- I don't really want to know.

Tools and materials are vital - unless you are used to improvising - which our mexican contractor brothers have mastered..........remember when you
were a kid building forts????
