Destination: San Felipe
I have decided to travel to San Felipe, Mexico. I hear it is really nice there in the months of May and June with the ocean and mountain views. Does
anyone know of any liesure activities and lodging??? I am open to anything. Thanks all.

Those views exist in other seasons, I am told.
May can be an excellent month if you are OK with temps in the 90s. Water has finally warmed to levels that most like; mid to upper 70s or even low 80s
possible.
June can become extremely hot with a few days over 100 likely and 110 possible. Humidity possible but not as likely as July-Sept.
Cant speak for accommodations. But if it were me, I'd consider renting a gringos place south of SF instead of staying in town.

I consider May and October the most comfortable months for the gulf coast of Baja... June is awesome and July hot... but the weather is only really
uncomfortable in August and early Sept. Yet, I have camped in August frequently south of San Felipe... it is just humid and warm all night. The sea is
bathtub warm all day and all night.
Okay, back to your May trip: Hook has a good idea, try http://www.bajarentals.com/ for a house to rent at Laguna/ Rancho Percebu... 15 miles south of San Felipe.

Take a fishing rod or go kayaking, maybe rent a quad, swimming is good, hot springs in Puertecitos. Go shelling and check the tide pools.

Speaking of San Felipe, does anyone know about the boat launching facilities there? I've only seen the pangas taken out over the sand off town. I
need to be able to launch a 25' Grady-White fish boat.

You can launch from the harbor. The ramp is VERY steep, and quite long, especially on a lower tide. Make sure the brakes on your tow vehicle are up to
snuff!

Downtown has lots of shopping for kitch, some pottery, home furnishings, t-shirts (Baja 250!), lots of bars, visit the "Valley of the Giants" cactus
grove south of San Felipe across from Punta Estrella, lots of great seafood in downtown, quad/dirtbike rentals in town.

Thanks for all the suggestions! I did some research on my spare time over the week and came across something called a "discovery tour," to san felipe.
It cost 200 dollars per couple at a website called discover-baja.com. Has anyone tried a "discovery tour"? I am not familiar with this type of
traveling.

It is probably a trip to visit El Dorado or one of the other developments in SF.
It is ok, but they are going to haul you down on a bus and you are more or less at the whim of the tour as to what you can do.

Not finding that tour on their website but they are a legit organization. I assume you provide your own transportation for the trip at that price?
