help for traveler

good kid on bicycle heading north from Loreto (am posting this here as I first put it in travel companions. yes, a travel companion would be good, too, but...)

I have had the pleasure of hosting for the past two days a young (20yo) Swiss man who is cycling from Costa Rica to Vancouver. he is leaving tomorrow to continue his journey. I connected with him through a website called Warmshowers.org which I participate in which offers hospitality to/among the bicycle touring community.

are there Nomads along the way willing to offer him a place along the way to pitch his tent, a bunk,a shower, water, a meal, general hospitality?

please...this is NOT the place to rehash whether or not this is a sane thing to do. that's recently been done to death in another forum. thank you.

mothers, grandmothers...this could be your child. please help if you can. I can forward U2U's to him.

he's welcome here in Punta Banda; we're about 7 miles west of Maneadero off the transpeninsular.

Good idea! I just signed up to be a host! In Blythe. Hardly down at camp (Bahia Cristina) long enough to be of any help with it.

Don't know how I can help. But if he needs anything in the Newport Beach-Costa Mesa area... I'm right off PCH too.

thank you all. feel free to check out Warmshowers.org bbbait and others, thank you. I am currently the only host in Baja CA, a distinction I'd be happy to relinquish.

right now...anyone right up the road (Mex 1?) the beaches of Conception? Mulege? Sta Rosalita? etc etc etc? am particularly concerned about the northern area, have steered him through Tecate but safe sleeping spots would be nice.

It is always fun and inspiring to meet these young people who go on great adventures. If we were a bit farther north of rh, I'd certainly have been happy to meet him! But in the space of this thread he's passed us by-- our loss, I'm sure.
