Changes at Punta San Francisquito

I received this from my buddy who has had a locker at PSF for over 15 years:

"Management at PSF as asked us to post the following:

In the folowing weeks, PSF is going to go thru a process where the Valladolid family will no longer be administrating the Palapas, Restaurant and other amenities. We are offering, a new generation is going to be doing this, we are
hoping for the better. That is why I ask you for two things:

# 1) I would like you to post that we are requiring any people that have a locker rented PSF to contact me at 619 819 5585 so we can arrange a pick up of your things from the lockers. I don't want anything to be lost during this
process and truly need to get in touch with as many people involved in this matter so we can arrange it.

# 2) Let everybody know that this process will be taking place this summer and hopefully, by the end of August, will be re-opening, I will be involved in the new project thru the new adminstration.

Hope you can help me out in posting this information. Thanks for everything .

Enrique Leon"

Please pass it on to anyone you know who may be renting a locker at PSF as well.

I wonder if the new management will have ice? Use to be a big deal to fly it in for the Margaritas!

i still have the great pics Carlos sent me after his last fly in there. with the "crew".

i wish they'd subdivide it. i'd love a casita there. or even a lot lease for a palapa.

picture is old as only 3 palapas are standing now.

Mike,

You started to answer your own question....I believe all the palapas are still standing....only the one closest to kitchen had roof torn away by Hurricane Juan....which leave 4 palapas available with a roof....you can set a tent up in the one with the huge "skylight"

Of all the parts of Baja I have been so far, it's my favourite....That's why it's my Baja Nomad avatar !

It has gone through some changes since I first went there in 2002....and I can only imagine it's history.

i think unless you are camping you're going to find it all closed down. the whole point of the BBP post by Enrique was to say don't come, we are going to shut down for the summer and re start after the overhaul.

I talked with Juan and we are supposed to have reservations for 2 palapas. Will have to be prepared for camping on the beach.
