Boat Trailer Ramp for a sailboat....
Thought I'd ask for the wisdom of this board...so here goes....
I've driven all over Mexico but not much in Baja....US to Ensenada....Cabo up to La Paz both routes. That's it for Baja.
Quesion is: I have a sailboat on a trailer...weighs about 4,000# or more...It draws 3 1/2 feet. Are there any ramps in the Sea of Cortez down Baja
way to launch something like this? Or are they basically all for power boats?
Thanks for any info you might see fit to provide....

Puerto Escondido (Loreto) would work.
I think you could do it at either Guillermos or the Villa Vita ramp at a high tide at BOLA.

Since Puerto Escondido, besides having a good ramp, has a large lift to put large vessels in and out of the drink, that facility would be a good
choice. Just bring cash.

You do not say whether or not you have four wheel drive or a trailer extension, which would make a big difference in giving you the right information.
I would add Santa Rosalia at high tide, Punta Chivato, Muertos, and maybe Lopez Mateos (but this one does not do you much good in the estuary as your
draft is probably too deep), San Jose at the new marina, and of course Cabo.

sloopy, we launch boats with similar drafts all the time in this part of Baja...but you will need a good 4WD and high tide. Quite a few locations
from Sta. Rosalia to Loreto.
p.s. plus the southern ramps and beaches as mentioned...no problem should arise.

We looked at the ramp at the Marina in San Felipe yesterday. It is steep and with a tide on the high side, you could launch your boat and then secure
parking elsewhere.
Haven't had a bad trip yet....
