What cleaner?
Love that banana peel on the barstool! |
All right, all right..that was too messy even for me. So...a little elbow grease and it's ready for manana.
Good luck with all your countertop ideas.
p.s. the neighbor's dog got the burned sugar off the stove-top AND found that missing pork chop from the last trip.
.
I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

Reminds me of a trip out to friend's place in a remote area of Idaho. Jim and I were enjoying some freshly caught trout and I mentioned how clean all
his dishes were.
He said, "Gotta great dishwasher."
I thought, wow, way out here in a weekend retreat. I didn't remember seeing it but replied, "Dishwasher? Good idea."
"Yeah, Maytag."
"Hmmm. Great trout."
We finished our meal and he took the dishes outside. Wondering what Jim was up to, I followed. Jim sets all the dishes out on the porch and up lopes
this huge St Bernard.
"Steve, this is the neighbors dog. They always said he's as big as a washing machine so they just started calling him Maytag."
I think the world is run by C- students.

Since my wife hates grout lines of any dimension, we opted for granite countertops. A friend of ours who is a builder had found two brothers from
Ensenada who do excellent granite work and they came down to Santa Rosalia to install. They were less than half of what they would have cost in the
US and these guys do excellent work. If you have any interest in going in this direction let me know and I will get their phone number for you.

I have a good friend who does the concrete counter tops. He is a real artisit and can create many finish effects including inlaid stones/tile.etc.
Let me know and I can put you in contact with him...

All of the above. New doors and drawer fronts, one new base cabinet and other refinished.

That looks really nice pacside. Is your house made of block or foam?

Block. Thought about foam but decided to go with what the locals know best. Although I hear foam is very efficient.
