Hurricaine swell hits Asuncion...Fausto reports??

Two days ago all the fishing pangas were hauled out as a large swell was expected. ONe of the seaweed diver boats left his at anchor and it was sunk and washed up on the beach this morning after a very large swell arrived last night. It was soooo impressive particularly with the fullish moon high tides...Today it was even bigger...bordering on spectacular...all the kids were so stoked because a south swell means the surf is best right in the middle of the village so everyone can come to the beach to watch. I saw JDTrotter out taking pictures so maybe she'll post some. Here is one taken from the beach house balcony.

How are the other pacific coast dwellers faring? Looks like clouds in the Cabo area...any wind down there or just swell and cloud?

Thanks for the pics. My daughter is heading to Tofino which is mild and calm this time of the year. You are getting the winter Canadian Pacific surf in the summer. Nothing like a sea storm to get the skin atingling.

no fishing this week probably...I wonder what lady Genevieve will bring? BUT...it should push some warmer water our way though which will improve the fishing when the swell decreases...I'm just very happy for all the surfer kids here who are diggin the swell in the middle of the village...cool to watch.
