So says the payaso who is busy building "HIS" house in Bahia Asuncion with little knowledge that he really doesn't own it, that he could never own it,
and that someday some Mexican will be living in it...for free.

I bet the girl that talked you into that deal used to vote for the NDP in British Columbia..... When will you you people ever learn...

I still don't understand why you give a ratsass what anyone does with their money in Baja, or anywhere else for that matter.
Are you trying to help someone prevent a bad investment?
I'm gonna stick with the old proverbs:
"Live and let live"
and
"No news is good news".

Hey Ken,
If you want to get under my skin, take it to off topic so others do not have to participate in your prescribed therapy
for insecurity.... |
Can't take being held accountable for what you say heh Pal?. Sorry if I got under your thin skin. I've lost count on your insults on Nomads.

Shark,
How many people have you steered clear of buying on the river in Mulege. How many really since you suffered severe damage from John and some damage
from the hurricane before it. Is your house for sale and is that why you like so many others`have so little to say about the dangers of living there
on the rio. Its hurricane season folks and if you live in Mulege, you should be preparing for it now....

Yes Sharks, you have really tried to "hide"information just in case you might want sell someday.
Let's see now. Was it you who posted all those pictures of your place devestated by the flood? Was it you who posted all about the mess in fixing up
the place again? Was it you who led the drive to collect funds to help---yes, I do remember that equipment given to the local fire department.
You blew it Sharks, you have not done a good job of hiding the "facts" about living on that river.

It really would be great to be able to make sweeping statements and know they are the Truth. You continue to imply that anyone with a positive
attitude is just out to make a buck----it was just that this time, you picked on Sharks.
My point, in case you missed it, was that he never tried to to hide what happened---oh, he also posted about being ripped off after the flood.
Now, just who is this "we"the ones that all helped? Sure others helps, but just who is this we?
Oh, News Flash. We own a home in Bahia Asuncion and someday we may want to sell it, so in the interest of disclosure,
Bahia Asuncion can be quite cold and windy
Every so many years a hurricane makes its way to BA
Our home is not built to US building code standards, it has what we call character--one just has to get to know it.
There are scorpions in our front yard, and there some have found their way into the house
There might be rattlesnakes and an occasional coyote.
Second News Flash
Beware of buying homes anywhere in Baja Sur---there could be a hurricane.
Beware of buying homes on the Texas coast, Florida, etc---hurricanes.
And there are tornados in Kansas and wildfires in California---even in seemingly safe expensive suburbs like Poway.
Get real----opps, I forgot, you and the "we" are the ones with the Truth.

Mulege has been hit hard twice in 5 years. Your area has not been hit in recent memory...... no one, not one person has said to beware of
buying on the river in Mulege, just the river. Living in Mulege is fine . Its living on the river that we are talking about. Are you having trouble
with english..
No one has responded to my point.. No one has warned anyone to not buy or live on the river in Mulege....Where are you Shark.... Respond to these
charges .....
I guess not....

Diane,
You brought up a good point on disclosure. I wonder how vocal Pal was about the dangers of hurricanes to the clients he had in Cabo. I'm sure he
tried to talk them out of buying one of his condos.

Diver, I was the one who started the suggestion that Bajaboy didn't really own anything. I know the details of his individual situation. He described
his purchase in some detail on his blog here:
http://tinyurl.com/5jde4j
"The purchase process was fairly simple and straightforward and was completed in a few days. (Well, we did have some friends that assisted in the
process which really made life a bit more comforting.) We basically purchased the house from the seller and the land from the municipality. In many of
the smaller villages, much of the land is owned originally by the municipality. If someone decides to buy the land then a new title is created for
that person. "
Bajaboy has been skinned and flicked by the Mexicans. He will be in denial for some time, maybe even forever.

You need to walk away from this board for a few hours and get at least 5 sources on buying land legally in Mexico. You will find this info from many
sources and not from your "friends"
Please do not take my word on it. Do your research and get back to us because there is not anyone on this board that wants you to get ripped off. Its
that simple and will only cost you an hour or so.
I would suggest the rest of you that have done the same as bajaboy research the same info. I am sure you will be surprized at what you find.
I am not trying to sell you anything but am trying to save you some headache. Good luck with it..

Don't buy on the river in Mulegé...you may get flooded...you may not get flooded...I live near the river and I got flooded once, only four feet...I
still live there and I love it...
