The fly in surf tours will continue to go to Isla Navidad, Punta San Carlos or places where the runways remain open and people are friendly and don't keep the waves to themselves, I think.

I went on a research trip to Natividad and of course took my board with me...the only time I've ever had any problems with other surfers in Baja were with the numbskulls from the surf camp there. So David, my opinion of that sort of endeavor is not as enthusiastic as yours.

looks pretty crowded already. where's moondoggie?

i am just being pragmatic.

a few airplanes are not going to increase the local load one iota % wise as long as others want to drive down and camp.

everyone's time is worth the same. sometimes you can buy more of your own and stretch it.

I rode a Caravan up into the highlands of Irian Jaya,
we hauled a cast iron stove and a bunch of galvanized roof sheeting along,
amazing aircraft.
too bad it is so pricey,
would make a great Baja plane,
it lands anywhere and carries huge payloads

when you get that question that asks...., "if you could pick one dream plane for baja and it can be yours just choose it..."

most all of us BBPers say we'd want a Cessna Caravan. just a big old 172 with a turbine that can go anywhere land anywhere take off anywhere and haul whatever you can put into it.
wow , now where is that spare $1.6 mil i need?
