Premex Station on Airport Street in Mexicali
These Premex stations just cannot get it together with correct information on diesel buying by Americans. Today at about 4pm went down to eat, see my
doctor in Mexicali, and get diesel. Station helper told me he could not put any diesel in my flowmaster which pushes my diesel from top tank to
bottom tank at an even ratio. I can get about 60 gallons and it really helps when you go down to San Felipe, Ensenada, La Salina, Rosarito, etc. as
well as back home. Helper told me he could not let me get any diesel in my flowmaster top tank just my bottom tank or I and he could be arrested and
truck taken. I told him that was incorrect information. Again, anybody else having these problems?? I went down to Tecate, Rosarito, and through
Ensenda without a problem, so I just want to see what others are experiencing. By the way I told this station helper, as I watcher Semi-Trucks with
American plates and some with both American/Mexican plates on their rigs, fill-up with diesel and said how many gallons do they get??? He told me 200
gallons and I told him I get less than 60 and have the hassel does not make any sense. He just shrugged his shoulders and I know he is worried for
his own job, so I tip him as I have always done for 3 years at this station and left. Thanks, bajafun777

So, I guess since no replies nobody else has been given problems about filling diesel tanks that flow into another. Are R.V.ers being allowed to fill
their diesel pusher to full??? Hopefully, maybe it is just my old station with an attitude or misunderstanding. I am really considering changing my
diesel into a natural gas vehicle if it is possible, as I do not want any problems when I retire and start driving not only Baja but Mainland and
back to Baja by Ferry. I just do not know how hard it would be to get natural gas to fill the tanks up while in Mexico. Later--------------------

think you have to have a gasoline engine to convert to propane.

I had a 1968 Ford Galaxy that was set up with a switch to go from gas to propane. The propane tank was in the trunk.
Awesome runner ,
Over 500 miles with both tanks full .

Maybe gas to propane but diesel to natural gas is another way to go. I have heard in getting away from something in high demand to something that our
Country has more than it knows what to do with makes the cost stay cheaper until oil companies get total control of this and away we go .
