howat;

I have a suggestion that I hope does not offend any boat owners/Fisherman, just another way of doing things.

If you haven't already done so, I would urge that you become friends with a good mexicano fisherman that knows the Water. Take him with you and have him show you some of the local water problems etc.

Cut off all of you Electronic Eguipt and learn the Depths and Locations by Triangulation, Learn the Cycles of the different fishes, the birds, Whales etc.

Some Spring spend a few hours on Delfonso Island and study the difference in the Birds, Snorkel around the island. Off of Pulpito you can find Ling Cod at times, also you may be lucky and get to catch or see a Golden Cabrilla. They are still there!!

Go a little south of Pulpito and see if you can find the "White Lobsters", then dont' tell to many people about the Place of Hot Waters.

Oh, there are Hundreds of places to find so many different fish and Fish life, This ole Boy gets the Shivers thinking about all the good times on that water..

Take that Good Boat and have some Fun!!

Howat....if you want a place on the river in mulege, consider the rio oasis, a little gringo park just down river from the orchard...i keep my 28' panga out on a dock on the river there and run it up and down the river to fish. It can be tight at times but it's done by quite a few gringos in the oasis....not sure if this last flood changed the river course radically but will see in a couple weeks....yeah, the river floods..and we have to clean up afterwards...but we love it there..leon is the go to guy at the rio oasis....you'll never meet a more honest, forthright man.
