Villas de los Palmas/Loreto/Ensenada Blanca

Out of curiosity Barb and I decided to sign up for the salespitch with this outfit to see what they have to offer and what monies we're talking about. From the outset we made it clear that we lived permanently in Loreto and had no intentions of buying. Like any timeshare outfit, this did not deter their efforts in the least. After the guy that signed us up for the schpiel, we had , the following morning, a continental breakfast with the initial salesperson, an amiable guy, who previously worked their Cabo beat. After this initial schpiel we got one of the bigger honchos, with whom I finally got some answers to some questions. Power will be supplied by the regular BCS power grid. Water will be supplied by their own desalination plant, with recycled water to be used for the 18 hole golfcourse. The waste brine will be returned to the sea, with all the necessary government permits in place. Never got an answer about sewage disposal. Looked like the guy didn't know himself. But there also, all the permits in place.
Initial money mentioned was a week, time somehow of your choice, in a one bedroom condo for the mere price of close to US$30.000.00 with a yearly maintenance fee. Around $ 650.00 first year and then to determined yearly.
However if you buy this very moment, you can get in for around US$22.000.00 for a 2 week share. A deal !!
The projects first phase will be finished within 18 months, according to this salesperson. At which my better half laughingly replied " if you can manage that, we'll buy one ".
For a minimal fee, about $80, you can exchange your time with any of their other resorts, and for around another $180 also with other resorts around the world .
The schpiel was well done with minimal pressure and in general better then most I've set in on and listened to.
The presentation was done in the Las Flores hotel. Normally it's done in the old Danzante resort, but ,according to the salesman, the road into Ligui is washed out by Norbert, but should be reusable next week.

This was just done out of curiosity wilderone.
Personally I wouldn't have a timeshare if they were to be had for $ 10.00. But, to each his own.

road to ligui

FYI: we drove out to Ligui today and the road is fine. We drove through town clear out to the beach by Angus' place. The arroyo really took a hit but the road has been repaired and is nicer than it's been in years. Maybe they just didn't want to drive you out there to show you what Hasn't been done.

Van: Thanks for the Report. I was able to get the same information from a young Man and women I met in front of their Place across from the Cafe Ole>

I personally would never buy into Time Shares, its just not my thing, but for the young Generation it seems to be working for them.

However I think it will be some time before the Money starts coming back to Loreto for Investment.
