Bajaboy baby's bienvenido in Asuncion

Bajaboy & his esposa were surprised by the bienvenida last weekend at the Blowhole. We had alot of fun planning it and the guys enjoyed going fishing in the morning to provide the sahimi and stuffed yellowtail dinner...
It was a really fun mix of locals and new arrivals who all got to meet and get to know each other a bit better....and of course celebrate the welcome of little Gabriel who is an angel and a most popular baby in town.
here is a little album of the party ffor those of you who know us http://picasaweb.google.com/sharibondy/GabrielBienvenida?aut...

this is Tia Lupe, who is Juan's sister and is simply gaga over GAbriel and is by far his favorite tia here...check out the unique baby shower corsage she made for msbajaboy...it has little soothers and diaper pins on it!
it was interesting as all the gringas were having wine and beer and the mexicanas only soda...the cake was divine as was all the dishes brought by guests....laurieboats brought this amazing apple sausage that was a huge hit and nancy and david outdid themselves with the shrimp salad!

What a wonderful way to welcome Gabriel! So wish we could have been there, it looks like it was an amazing get together!

Congrats to Bajaboy, and Msbajaboy, on probably one of the most beautiful babies I have ever seen!

Shari,
The party was great, I really enjoyed meeting everyone. Gabriel is such a good baby, so happy, so cute. All of the food was wonderful, and the cake was fantastic. Thanks again. Lauri

Pictures look great and that is one cool baby. Certainly does not seem to have any problem with being shy with all the people that hold him. Great job Shari on the party, wish we were there.
Gabe still sure looks like his Dad.

Hola Nomads-

Tracy and I really appreciated the fiesta for Gabriel. It's such a different culture here with regards to babies...especially those with blond hair and blue eyes...everyone wants to hold him. It's been a great few weeks with one to go. Little Gabriel is loving Asuncion and all the wonderful people here. I'll post a report soon or when we get home in a week or so.

Thanks again to Shari and Juan!

Zac

What a little chunker! What are you feeding that kid? He is really growing, the place suits him. Great pics, it is a great pleasure to get these peeks into the life of your community and Baja. Keep em coming.
