Someone needs to do their research - the new generation 2-stroke outboards have the same "star" rating as the 4-strokes, in fact they beat the
4-strokes with LESS emissions at idle & low speed operation.
Eventually all the old technology 2-strokes will be gone...

Jeez you guys - Paulina covered this in great detail over 3 years ago. I still have to have all the lights off, the curtain drawn, and the blinking

is this thread hi-jacked to "proper pee-ing etiquette"?
my2cents-
If you are going out in a boat with people you don't feel comfortable peeing in front of, don't drink the coffee in the AM and don't drink "pop" inthe
PM. Basically dehydrate yourself for the whole day so you don't have to face the issue of where to pee.
If you are with a group cool enough to drink beverages with on a boat, the group should be cool enough to "pee off the side" with. Just hang it out
where-ever has the least potential for passerby viewing. It might require the occasional 'cooling off dip' as a decoy.
And ladies, if you have to use any other receptacle for peeing, get a "wide mouth" one. It is possible, and especially tricky if you're in a boat.
IMO, it a whole lot easier to say, "Look Away"...

I find that empty Gatorade bottles work well for me when needed.
For the ladies, any bucket or seat will work as long as they put on one of those sarong thingies.
In the old days, girls used to wear them or long pheasant skirts to Grateful Dead concerts; and you all thought it was to cover the hairy legs !!
I did have a buddy who had a shy wife.
He drilled a hole in one of the seats in his 16' tin boat that was large enough to hold a quart container (about 6 inch diameter). He fitted a lid so
it wasn't noticeable when closed. He said his wife learned to "pull off" the innocent look quite well but still insisted he empty the bucket.
