gas report monday dec 15th
the ONLY station without gas or diesel was guerrero negro on the highway
everyone else had plenty
lots of trailers and campers with kayaks driving down
but only 2 motorhomes
no caravans at all
the road just south of el rosario is finished and very WIDE
too bad the entire road wasn't built like this 
the road from ensenada to tecate is very bad the first 10 miles from ensenada
the workers directed us to the mud and lots of cars were fishtailing and spinning out
it was BAD
i would avoid this strech of road for the next month
especially if it rains
lots of rock slides on the road to tecate
i followed an ABC bus...
he seemed to know exactly where to slow down
diesel here in southern california is $2.35 a gallon
WOW
it was almost $5.00 last trip
it's cold and wet here in southern california
i'm getting out as fast as possible

how much in the gas in baja now?
leaving on the 20th for Loreto from South coast of Oregon. 1,850 miles. Can't wait to get there. I need warm sunshine to stay "sweetsunshine"!!!

gas today in mulege was around 7.3 pesos a liter...at 13/1, do the math...kindof..i know it's now more than in our place in washington state
dyslexia is never having to say you\'re yrros.

I can confirm this. I was through this same area last month during BAJA GRANDE. Everything here is true. There was a closed Pemex station in
Guerrero Negro (on the south side of the main boulevard). The one on the north side of the main drag was open, with plenty of traffic/customers.
Driving from Ensenada to Tecate did seem a little dicey with the narrow, winding Hwy with big, steep dropoffs.
The only time I knew it paid off to be in a carrivan was upon entering San Quintin. I had stopped at a Federale de Caminos revission, and the police
officer appeared to be crooked enough to want to steal my Jeep Rubicon from me. Because I was traveling in a large group (of other 4x4s), he told me
an inspection was "Not Necessary" and waved me through.
El Rosario was covered in mud - the roads, streets, and Hwy 1 were all mud slickened. I estimate with the current crop of storms, this is also the
case now. Drive safely.
