Migrane Headaches

Hi Bajarunner, I'm sorry you have migranes, they are so horrible. Anyways, ask your Doctor about this: Elevil, or Amitriptyline, at a low dose of 10-50 mg. per night.

Both my neighbor and I have gone through MRI's, and all the meds out there to control these Migranes. They don't know why the Elevil works, it's supposed to be an anti-depressant, but in low dose forms, it acts as a muscle relaxant, and it works.

Also, it is not hard on your blood vessels by neither constricting them or opening them up, which is kinda bad as far as a stroke goes. And not habit forming like Valium.

You used to be able to buy this down here, but no more, unless you have a doctor's prescription.

Ask your doctor or Neurologist, hope you feel better.

Your point is VERY well taken. Sometimes it's just hard to sit back (on your hands, as I try to do, not very well I might add) and listen to blatant lies from someone that doesn't know anything (wasn't there) about a situation. I'm not talking about the politics (I personally can't wait for this election to be over) I'm talking about the personal attacks (if I hear one more word about my Quad accident I'm going to PUKE!....my fault!, no one but myself!)

Me No's list:

"Travel Pearl thinks she is a Quad Racer" where the heck did you hear that Me No? Anyone that knows me knows that I'm terrified of those things, that is why I asked the owner of that Quad to go with me! I broke my back.....SO WHAT! I'm walking, and it's all good! I still thank my lucky stars (and the person that was with me, Thank you, you know who) that I'm here and safe and able to fight a good fight.

So, Please Tom......have a good vacation and CHILL OUT!

and if that isn't an option for you, how about you just stay away from us people that you obviouslly can't stand?

Reporting

Sorry, but I think "M" does a really good job of restraining herself, if any of us remember she got so sick and tired of this SAME BS on the Amigo's board she left and came here and offerded herself to help Doug give us a place to share with each other, to our "shigrin" the "meanies" followed.

I didn't see in "M's" post anything about having any "inside knowledge" about anyones drug use, she simply wondered and offered her help if need be, Skeeter did also.....Yes, she was curt (who can blame her) If you get kicked often enough, you kick back.

There is a great special on PBS right now dedicating the Memorial of the WWII Vets, I'm going to go watch it and , leave this triva alone :)

Back from Yosemite

Baja Vida and I, along with my pilot daughter and her friends, just survived a nominal 9 mile hike at 8500' elevation down to Tuolumne Falls. Folks it don't get much better!! Yesterday it snowed, today was glorious.
Then we discover that we have made Meano's hit list... wow, gonna run us off the road. Well, as he said in his first post, I am an incompetent driver so he could probably accomplish this quite easily>>>> NOT!!! Bring it on, Buckwheat!
Anyway, thanks to M for your support. For your (and Meano's) info, the Valium and the Demerol are in prescription bottles, with my name and the doc, isn't that supposed to be o.k.?? Even in Baja. And if someone is lying in agony is it a crime to give them one?? Even though I did not!
Margie, thanks for the thoughts on migraines, will ask my doc for thoughts on these, a 10 grain Valium usually works, have not had one yet this year, actually, but the Valiums do knock me out for a while
Yep, those screamers are brutal when they set in.
Would you believe, the first one I ever had was at the Flamingo Motel in Ensenada before the Baja 500 in 1972, my first race?? Blame it on the Baja.

Baja Arriba!!
