PUNTA CHIVATO ALERT—PLEASE HELP FIND TILLY!!
Tilly, a beloved cat belonging to Ursula Croci, disappeared from Hotel Las Flores at Punta Chivato on February 3. Tilly is a male, part Siamese, with
beautiful long fur and big blue eyes. Ursiula has had Tilly for seven years, since he was a kitten, and she is grieving and desperate to get him back.
He was last seen in the arms of the child of an American family who stopped at Punta Chivato. It is thought the family assumed he was homeless and
took him "to a better life." Tilly purrs a lot and is super friendly and fat and happy. A very much loved cat.
Someone out there knows who picked him up. Arrangements will be made to get Tilly back from where ever he is. No harm, no foul. Please Nomads, spread
the word and let's see if we can get him back! THANK YOU!

Do you know if the family was staying at the hotel, camping beach or with a home owner? Haven't heard any announcement on the radio here. Although the
owner of the hotel is not on the "favorite" list here. Ursula has always been very nice & helpful. This is a very caring community and I'm sure we
would do all we could to help out. I'll pass the word around Shell Beach but need a little more info please.

Ursula was not there when Tilly disappeared, and nothing more is known about the American child carrying the cat. It was a hotel employee who told her
what he saw. Don't think it was a hotel guest, or they would have the name of the family.
If someone can tell me how to post a jpg, I can add a photo of Tilly. When I try to attach it off my desktop thru browse button, the name appears, but
the photo does not open upon checking the post preview??

Sweet cat, you may want to consider posting a reward, that is how we got our stolen generator back and a friend on Coyote Beach was able to get his
Kayak back the same way. It is terrible to have to pay for something that is already yours, but if she really loves the cat it might be worth a try.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

Someone is grieving over the loss of a beloved pet. Your post is both inappropriate and in poor taste. Baja Nomads, as a rule, live by higher
standards, which more often than not, involve compassion and care. The Nomad grapevine is an appropriate venue by which a woman's Baja California Sur
pet, taken by an American family passing through, might possibly get returned!
You have obviously never even been to Punta Chivato.

Maria, Tomorrow night at 5:30 there is a VDay dinner. Perhaps you could go and ask assistance there or have some one that is attending do it. It is
open to all of Chivato. You've been a Nomad member since Sept of '03 so you should understand that almost with fail some one will have something to
say that's inappropriate. Good Luck!

That family most likely took off with the cat. It sure looks like a well cared for pussy. They surely wouldn't heist a mangy Baja cat.
Post some flyers if you can. That's how we got our beloved dog back...... a week later.

Bajahowodd, your racism is unwelcome (to me). I invite you to consider how you would feel if someone accused you of eating family pets based on YOUR
ethnicity.

I feel so bad for anyone who loses a beloved pet. It sounds like this one was perhaps"adopted" by a well meaning family.
I do hope you find out what happend. While it is controversial, I think that maybe a cat collar is a good idea for cats in Baja. That way there is
no question that it is someone's pet.
Will be thinking and hoping that they get their pet back.

I would suggest contacting both Discover Baja and Vagabundos and asking them to post a lost ad in their newsletters.
