Good Luck Marika!

For those of us that know Pescador and his wife, a couple of words of good luck.

Marika is fighting cancer very valiantly but find that her planned stay in her Mexican home has been brought to an early end by problems and those of us who know her and Jim offer our prayers.

Get well, come back soon. We miss your presence here!
And Buen Suerte!

Marika

From a Jewish prayer for the sick:

When pain and illness are your companions, may there be room in your heart for strength.

When the days and nights are filled with darkness, let the light of courage find its place.

May God help you to endure the suffering and dissolve the fear; renew within you the calm spirit of trust and peace.

May you soon know a time of complete healing of body and spirit.

If there is anyone who would know where the finest and most successful cancer treatment hospitals would be, it would be Pescador. Keep a strong positive outlook and best of luck. Hoping you both are back soon and well.

Shelly and I are wishing you many happy returns to the waters off San Bruno.

This is like a lumpy seas day; inconvenient, but there WILL be other days ahead.

Keep your spirits high; look how many are pulling for you.

I don't know Jim and Marika, but I do know cancer. It is frightening, depressing, expensive, deeply personal, and BEATABLE. My kid brother died a week ago today from the same cancer I survived. The only difference was early diagnosis, aggressive treatment and a positive attitude.

My heart goes out to you Marika. I hope that you have never taken a San Bruno sunrise for granted, and that there will be many many more in your future. I wish you strength.

A Quick update for those who answered the start of the thread.

It turned out to be an excellent idea to return early for Marika, when they got back home, she was immediately placed in the hospital.

All our prayers are with her.
