New La Paz ferry to Topo & Mazatlan /and FINALLY good contact info

Our six hour trip last week from the mainland (Topo) to La Paz was smooth as glass on the new and slightly smaller 'Baja Ferries' ferry. It was explained to me that economic times requires a ferry with less room for vehicles and more for passengers only. This new one seats about 500 people, and holds about 50 trucks and 150 cars. There were less than 100 people but the vehicles filled up maybe 80% of the room. It can't be more than several years old and kept very clean. It was made in Italy as all the signs are in Italian-

The food in both the cafeteria and the fancy dining room had reasonable prices. Folks coming out of the fancy diningroom spoke highly of the service and food. Most dinners were in the $100-120 peso range.

There are four non-smoking bars, but only two operational on this trip-

- and a disco floor that was never used

And the swimming pool was never used maybe because it was waterless

and lets not forget the all important game room

As it departs Topo at 11PM, a cabin is a welcome addition to the trip. Toilet/shower/sink/beds in the cabins are all first class and super clean. Cost is $760 pesos to sleep 1-4.
I could not get any of their phone numbers to work but did get an email address that I used four times with great success. In fact, each of the four times I used it for general info and finally for reservations, I got a response back the same day. I'll likely start selling this email address because it is so dependable, but for you special Nomadders here it is for free- ventas.lapaz@bajaferries.com.mx .

The ferry looks like a regular cruise boat. NICE!
