What is this insanity that you would expect any of the news channels to give a fair, unbiased, and non-politically slanted perception. Am I so
uninformed that I need for some clown on TV to tell me how to think and lead me to make up my mind on an issue? Least of all the BBC who are just
biased in another direction. Do I expect to turn on MSNBC and get a non-liberal, non socialistic slant to an occurence?
And the worse insult is that it is somehow denigrating to watch Fox news? As in comparison to MSNBC?
I doubt that anything I have ever heard on Fox news led me to be more conservative and the idea of feeding myself the pablum of MSNBC would somehow
make me more liberal is a real slap at my intelligence and ability to discern but that is probably why some people scream so loudly and want the
"fairness doctrine" instituted.

All the republicans throw out the "he kept us safe after 911" as one of the few good things George Bush did in his 8 years in office. Maybe I'm
missing something here, but didn't 911 happen on his watch?

You make a point, Pescador. Surveys show that folks tend to gravitate to the commentary they expect to support their own point of view.
I made the BBC reference mostly because they concentrate on delivering news rather than bluster. We already know that we can't find news of any
importance on local TV. They are preoccupied with hyping the entertainment shows on the channel and car chases.
All things being equal, you think Joe Scarborough is a liberal??

And the flu happened on your annointed ones watch.
It funny but I remember that some people thought that pigs would fly before we elected a black president. As it turns out with this flu, they were
somewhat correct.
Nothing to see here folks, move along .

Morning Joe while entertaining to watch in the morning is also painful at times. Surrounded by all these libs sans old Patrick Buchanen, he's like a
long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs afraid to say the wrong thing for fear he will end up like Tucker Carlson. Fired from his show but
unable to get out of his contract to seek another on air gig from another network. Still the best morning show on cable though.

While I really don't like using labels, and really don't like when they are used pejoratively, I will admit to having a social and politcal outlook
that would be considered left of center. That being said, I personally like Joe a great deal. And the show as well. Joe is thoughtful and not
unwilling to admit he doesn't know something. And there is a generally civil discourse among those on the show. I just don't like the ranters and
bashers found on other networks.
As for Tucker, he was getting crap from both sides as he is fundamentally neither Republican nor Democrat but Libertarian.

good point I have always been wondering about why they didnt see that coming, what I have heard , they did have alot of intel about 911,, cant
remember what country now warned us about us being attacked,, but Bush choose to ignore the warning and also if I remember some of our intel people
also informed the bush adminstration that some thing was coming down the pike

Folks in the Clinton administration went public with the fact that they had serious worries and provided Bush with lots of intel. Some of the nutjob
conspiracists point to that as evidence that Bush was complicit in the attacks. I wouldn't go anywhere near that. Ineptitude is one thing. treason
another.
