Star Trek (The new movie)

There is an excellent shot of Baja California, as seen from the Enterprise, in Earth orbit...

Oh, and yah... it's a great movie!!! They did a great job in picking the actors!

How long was the line, David? I know they had shows about every half hour, but the lines must have been incredible!

No line at all... Saw it in Vista, was playing in 4 auditoriums at the Kirkorian Theater... Full house when the movie began (7:30 show)... stadium seating so no view issues. We arrived just after 7 pm. Crowd loved it by their reaction... The movie did a great job introducing the characters of Star Trek, and we now have a new generation of Trek movies that begins with this one. Chekov was great... by-the-way... Scotty, McCoy, all of them.

I assume they will be showing this film in Baja. Could it be possible that there will be an English language viewing somewhere? Now about the view of Baja from space, could you see the locations of Abreojos or La Paz? I've read that the Star Trek premier in Mexico was delayed by the swine flu scare. Baja California would seem to be a logical filming location for some Star Trek moonscape scenes. Do you think that Shell Island would be such a spot?

The long wait is over! S'pose they might try to take these characters back to a TV series, or is it going to be a movies only plan.

David,
my last two trips to Camp Pendleton I had company from Houston, and I would not have been cool to bring my boss.
I'll let you know on my next solo trip.
