Furniture for Bahia Asuncion
Our very good friend, Jamie who works for the Preserve, is also a carpenter and furniture maker. He does not have fancy tools so his furniture
reminds me of the Shaker style.
Recently we bought a table he had built for someone else who could not pay for it because of the economy, so without any hesitation, we bought it.

I love the detail with the pegs

So, if you live part time in Bahia Asuncion and need more furniture---so hard to find around there, if you take a picture and an idea to Jamie, he can
help and it won't break the bank

He is building us a breakfast bar, can't wait to see how it turns out.
What we see depends mainly on what we look for.

I've seen some of his work and it looked very nice. His shop it pretty basic.
He will be doing some cabinet work for us.
His English is excellent.
(Nice table Diane. I hope he didn't carve my name in the wood like I asked him to.)
I think the world is run by C- students.

A little sandpaper---name all gone.
Laurie, I look forward to seeing the breakfast bar and thanks for sharing the shrimp c-cktail his wife made with your shrimp---it was GREAT.

You are very correct---his furniture is beautiful. I have also seen bookcases, chest of drawers and other pieces he has made and they are really
nice.
But if someone wanted all the fancy ornate curly things and victorian style furniture, that would be a problem.
