Info on "Taste of Baja" in LA

Here is what was posted on the Chowhond board -

"Wonder if any of you heard. The Taste of Baja is happening this Saturday(6/20) from 12PM to 6PM at the Plaza Mexico in Lynwood. Hoping to try some Mexican wines and some ensalada Cesar, perhaps?"

"Anybody going?"

And here is my response -

About two weeks ago, they had the inaugural "Taste of Baja" event in San Diego in the Embarcadero Park next to the Convention Center.

Tons of food, free flowing beer and margaritas (Tecate Girls!). The mayors of Rosarito, Tijuana and Mexicali made their special recipes and the Governor of Baja and the Governor of New Mexico was also in attendance.

From all reports, even though it was a cold, overcast and windy day, the event was a huge success.

It was very well documented on the b---nomad board (I can't post the link because the moderators here remove it).

Go, the Mexican government is really making an effort to lure the tourists back to Baja.
