This "tourist" is not telling everything. First of all he should explain what he was doing in a well known drug-criminal Hotel just footsteps from the
worst area of the city. I doubt he was vacationing. You only go there for drugs, prostitutes, or other more hardcore stuff.
There isnt a lot on info since the guy is not telling much, but my guess is that he was doing something illegal, and someone noticed. Kidnappers don´t
go for tourists, first of all, they know its a lot of heat, second they don´t know if they actually have money, and third, why get a hot potato like
that when theres plenty of local victims with proven networth and without the complications of an international incident.
Me thinks a drug deal gone bad, or he was doing sexual thinks beyond whats normal and someone found out.
