Maybe it's sunny, but we just got a report couple hrs ago from one of our returning residents, via our "BPE" here in Los Barriles area that there is a landslide in the mountains south of Loreto, and expected that 18-wheelers won't be able to turn around, and probably creating some real problems for awhile.........that's all I know.

okay - sure thing. The wind is not bad, just a little gusty. Sun came out for a few minutes.

Anyone knows about this slide and a more specific location ?? Could be anywhere from Nopolo to the start of the flats 50 miles south.

'Member TS Odile last year?

I had just gotten my stove and refrigerator cleaned up and back in the clean house after TS Julio when we had to drag 'em back out and to high ground-- and luckily Mulege was spared by Odile which went south and fast across the peninsula.

Shari, if you have a moment (and I know you don't) can you check to see if our roof leaked? Just curious!

Hope all is well with all Baja friends.

Not Enough to Measure

Friends asked us to measure how much rain Bahia Asuncion received from Olaf----so we did.

After the rain yesterday morning, there was not enough to cover the bottom of the bucket----then in the afternoon, this arrived

We thought, OK, now it will rain---felt like it was going to pour. Only a couple of drops were squeezed out of it.

All seemed to land way south of here---

Could be, Mikey. Dunno wha' happened to Hurricanes K L M last year-- east coast probably poor guys.
Just remember having lunch in Scotty's after Odile and nobody knew for sure how to pronounce it; we were just happy he/she gave Mulege a miss.

Have read that La Paz got some rain from Olaf. Any reports here?

La Paz got a lot of rain, very little wind and no lightening so didn't lose power, I sure don't know how that storm found its way back here, like others have said the satellite showed it gone but it just kept raining even got some in the middle of the night.

Kinda weird - but very overcast here at Los Cerritos Beach and sprinkling right now - had a minor downpour not long ago. Nice cool breeze going on.
