Volaris airlines. You take the bus from downtown Greyhound station across to airport. Go to their website, Volaris.com I believe.

We figure if we can save $100 bucks it's worth the hassel to cross the border by land. Coming back to the states you have to get off the bus at the border with all your luggage, walk through a short line and then go outside the building and find the bus again. No biggie, but it does take time.

No b-tchin\' in the Baja.

I notice you're in Oregon. Volaris flies from Oakland to TJ. Once in TJ, you can get almost anywhere in Mexico on Volaris.

I dropped some people off at the Tj airport last
Apr. for a flight to Cabo on Volaris. You 'may'
save some $ if you are fairly close
to the border, but getting to the Tj Airport
is a bit cumbersome.
cost to Cabo includ. taxes was $250 plus you have to
get an fmt at $22.
The shuttle as mentioned, from downtown
San Diego, run by either Greyhound or
as I noticed a bus line Crucero, which is I believe
$15 dollars one way. last week or
so, Alaska was $250 all taxes included from
Lax to Cabo, be sure to check the
flights from the Us, sometimes one doesn't
save much from Tj, on the other
hand you may save some

Again. if you are coming from Oregon, how do you plan to get to the border? If you are looking at either flying to San Diego, or driving there, using the Bay Area Volaris flights makes great sense. Who knows? You might not even have to change planes. And a big bonus on arrival in La Paz, is that you're arriving on a domestic flight and won't have to waste valuable time at immigration.

I too was looking into the Oakland/TJ/Lapaz connection for friends from NoCal. Unfortunately, the Oakland/TJ leg is an evening flight and the TJ/LaPaz leg is an afternoon flight. That doesn't work.

BUT, if you can get a cheap Southwest flight into San Diego, there are GREAT fares from TJ/LaPaz right now for January. I just booked a flight for $151 USD /RT - includes all fees and taxes. This is the cheapest I've seen for this route.

Definately Volaris. We've flown the TJ/San Jose route more than once and it's the best deal around. We're flying a family of 4 down to PV for Thanksgiving, RT w/ all taxes included for $543.00 USD.
