Can it Happen???
I have a friend who while visiting met a deported mexican and would like for him to be able to go to the states to visit her family, she has moved
down here to be with him. Is it possible for him to be able to go with her? I have read the stories of 8 - 20 yrs before they are even considered to
be allowed back in the states.

He's already been deported once. That will put him down the waiting list a ways, about fifty years.
His best bet if he wants to go north any time soon would be to take the back road just like he did in the past. He knows this.

One thing more....your friend would do herself a favor to find out exactly why he was deported in the first place.

Wouldn't be easier for the family to visit him in Mexico? I find it a little difficult to believe he wants to return to the US just for a "visit".

Her understanding is that he was taken there as a child when his parents went.

Mission Impossible. He probably couldn't get a visa if he were the president of Mexico.

She needs to know more. One way, assuming she's put herself in a position to do this, is to decipher his tattoos. If he has none, that's a step in
the right direction.
Anyway, one can't be too careful.
