Mulege/money . . .

If you live in Mulege or any other bankless town do you have to drive to Loreto to get money from the Bank/ATM? Or is their someone who cashes checks or permits credit?

Thanks
George

I think Santa Rosalia has an ATM. That's much closer. Can anyone give the location? EGL?

Santa Rosalia has 2 banks and is a 50 minute drive north of Mulege.

This is where ALL the residents in the area do their local banking. While they are there they get some Bollelos (fresh rolls).

No one drives to Loreto because it's a 1 1/2 hour drive.

a gringo just established a for fee independent

ATM in mulege, it has all the cash you care to get......plus a 10% built in fee. $100 U.S. on your bank card gets you $90 in pesos. such a deal? well, frankly by the time you figure time and gas to drive to SRL it isn't a bad one. Wish i thoiught of it......come to think of it there is plenty of opportunity for more of these machines......hmmmmm.....
