Another Scam???
This is actually happening in La Mision!!! So be aware it can happen anywhere..."If you were/are one of those people that paid 50.00 to get your
electric for half off, I certainly hope that you checked with CFE prior to doing so. Next time they came it was $25.00! You should call CFE so that
they wont come back at you for theft charges or worse .... If it sounds to good to be true, welllllllllll then it is............"

I hate scams. I don't fall for any of them (well, not yet anyway).
A few years ago there was the cable TV scam going around (Ensenada area as I recall). You by this card for really cheap and it would only work for
ONE day, then you got shut down.
I'm sure there are many Nomads living in Baja that thank you for this information.

I've heard the best way to reduce you CFE bill is to break the glass on the meter (by accident of course) and have them install a new one for free.

I had a commercial account that tripled in a 6 month (three billing cycles) period. Called and had CFE trace the lines and check the meter. They said
everything was normal. Of course, everything was normal...They sent me a bill and I paid it...normal. 
Then, one night, the meter was mysteriously broken. I reported it the next day and made a police report. Took them two months to replace the
meter. Once replaced the usage reverted to previous lows. I insisted upon and was granted a rebate.

I had a smashed meter some years back and, after the proper amount of begging, it was replaced, but it wasn't free. If I recall, it was just under a
hundred bucks.
