Mood: Pole Line Road postponed due to injury

Has this ever happened to you???

You rummage through some old items in the garage, and below those items you want to throw out or give away is a photo album. You look inside of the photo album and inside are Baja memories from 10 years (sometimes more) in the past.

You look at the changes everyone made since the photos were taken - some might not be here, anymore...But, changes have happened and the way you look at your travels - your perspective has changed with a tint of nostalgia.

I came across some photos that I shared with my new wife, and I can't wait to post them here in the next couple of days. Great friends I met through Amigos de Baja and OffRoad.com around '99-'00. The time just flies...

Pictures just recently as a matter of fact. Been doing alot of dinging out lately.

Came across a diary that I wrote in from 1995. Our maiden voyage. I would usually write in it in the evening with a beverage in hand. Laugh!!!! There were some days I wrote that I didn't know where I was but it sure is beautiful. Not sure if any one eles would be able to read my chicken scrawl and how the words ended up all slanty like.

cool, cant wait to see those pics....I too recently found some and am working on getting them scanned and into an album....here is one of our "home" in Ojo de Liebre about 15 years ago...funny thing is, the little ticket booth was a new big deal that season....instead of selling tickets out of a pick up truck.

and this is when they were really progressing...the little old restaurant and crew quarters in the background.

it was so interesting to watch them build the interpretive center...make the adobe blocks...the ejido members also learned alot about adobe construction on this government funded project.

Found some old stuff, did you Ken? Me too. Boxes and boxes.

I am just now starting to copy to discs 16mm, 8mm, & VHS movies and thousands of photos from the 40's - 50's - 60's - 70's - 80's - 90's - what do you call these last two decades? - the 00's and the 10's?

This project will keep me out of trouble for a while....agghhh...to hell with that....that thought is too depressing. :saint:

I do what the voices in my tackle box tell me.

There's a cable channel show titled "Hoarders". Maybe in the big picture perspective, people are just trying to be gentle with our landfills.

Ah Ken... time marches on, but photos give us a look back!

In October, 2000 we met at my first Viva Baja party...

In 2001, you led tours of the Pole Line Road!:

In 2002, you drove your Ranger out to Shell Island and camped with us:

In 2006, you pushed it to the limit when you partied with us at Viva Baja Cactus in Tijuana!:

LOT'S OF GOOD BAJA STYLE FUN!
